Most people assume that content writing and copywriting is the same. However, they are totally different in the following ways:

It needs to inform, educate or entertain. Content writing needs to have a clear purpose or reason behind writing the content. The content should represent the brand’s voice. Therefore, content writing passes information along to your audience while copywriting reveals what your brand is all about.

A copywriter writes marketing material while a content writer writes content. Copywriting involves writing copy for ads, SEO content, email campaigns, television and radio commercial scripts, press releases, billboards, brochures, social media, etc. on the other hand, content writing involves writing content for blog posts, newspaper articles, books, print magazines, podcasts, television, etc.

They write those headlines that grab the consumers’ attention instantly. On the other hand, content writers create articles or blog posts that increase customer engagements. They write well-researched content that considerably improves the image of their clients as a brand.
